2. Reduce your wardrobe to simple, universal outfits that can be used to create multiple outfits. You will save money if you buy simple classic items instead of trendy outfits that won’t be in style long time.
3. Shop at the end of the season, when all shops have discounts.
4. Live in a smaller home, because smaller means cheaper. Usually people buy the biggest house that they can afford, thinking that bigger is better. Is not true and most of the times the extra space remains used.
5. Save energy: being green is cool right now and you have many ways to reduce the energy bill, like programmable thermostats and compact florescent light bulbs.
6. Eat more at home: every one likes to go out for lunch or dinner but with the money you pay for a meal you can buy groceries for three days.
7. Quit smoking: you smoke a-pack-a-day? If you quit you can save up to $1,800 a year so you do the math for few years.
8. Use more public transportation to save gas, insurance and maintenance costs.
9. Sell things that you never use because if you haven’t used it in six months, chances are you can live without.
