The financial crisis that shook the whole world in the past three years has also made its mark on the Hollywood financial results. While many artists saw their revenues diminished, others had a good period cashing tens of millions for a single movie.

Let’s take a look at the best female actresses and their revenues from the last twelve months. Some caught our attention in particular as top five currently best paid Hollywood actresses. These are: Sandra Bullock, Cameron Diaz, Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Aniston and Sarah Jessica Parker.

Sandra Bullock had a very highly agitated year marked by a messy divorce, the adoption of a baby and the winning of her first Oscar. During all this time Bullock made two movies, “The Proposal” and “The Blind Side,” that brought her about $56 million. Thanks to that two box office hits, Bullock is currently the best paid actresses in Hollywood.

Cameron Diaz comes second with about $32 million earned in the past year. She entered into this top thanks to “Knight & Day” and “Shrek” movies that totalized over $2.8 billion at the global box office.

Reese Witherspoon takes the third place but is pretty close to Cameron Diaz. Witherspoon earned an estimated $31 million from her Avon ambassador activity and thanks to the in advance payments for two movies: “How Do You Know” and “Water for Elephants”.

Jennifer Aniston, which became famous, thanks to the “Friends” television series, earned about $27 millions in the last twelve months. She recently launched her own perfume line, continues to get money from “Friends” and plays in romantic comedies.

Sarah Jessica Parker is the last star in this top five best paid actresses. This year’ sequel of “Sex and the City”, the series that made her famous all over the world, brought her about $20 million. Add another $5 million from the Sarah Jessica Parker perfume line which is a big seller and you will get the reason for which she closes this top five.
