The music hall of fame is full of great singers and is quite difficult and tricky to decide upon the top ten male singers of all time. The paintings of famous artists of the 19th and 20th century are now among the most precious paintings. These creations have been sold several times over time and their prices went higher each time. To create this top ten their transaction value was adjusted to the inflation rate so these prices are equivalent to the current purchasing power of US dollar.

The painting No. 5, 1948, by Jackson Pollock is not present in this top ten although it might be the most expensive painting ever. According to a New York Times article the painting was sold in 2006 for $140 million which adjusted to the inflation rates would mean more than $155 million which makes it the #1 most expensive painting. Unfortunately the transaction has not been confirmed to this day leading the painting out of our top ten. (more…)

Wayne Gretzky – born in 1961 played as centre from 1978 to 1999. Entered the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1999. He wasn’t an athletic player but thanks to his intelligence and ability to read and predict the game he was called “Einstein of Hockey”.

Mario Lemieux – born in 1965, played for Pittsburgh Penguins as a forward for 17th seasons, between 1984 and 2006. He is the only person ever to win the Stanly Cup as player(1991 and 1992) and as owner(2009 as owner of Pittsburgh Penguins). (more…)
