In a world where the number of over-weighed people is growing fast, diets are in vogue. There are hundreds of diets available on the internet, in magazines, on the TV and in the bookstores. One of the most famous diets that proved to be efficient over the years is the Montignac Diet, also known as “French Diet”.

Montignac method is not really a diet, because it doesn’t impose the reducing of the amount of food. This is more like a nutritional concept, suggesting a balanced way of eating.  The Montignac method is based on the Glycemic Indexes (GI) concept, Michel Montignac being the first to ever use it for people wanting to lose weight, back in 1980s.
