In the last decades, the population worldwide was influenced by economic factors. The search for a good job and the better living conditions that can be found in large cities attracted even more people. This trend can be observed at the global level and if we take each large city in part we can definitely conclude that the largest cities in the world are still growing.

The largest cities can be evaluated in two different ways. The first is to take into consideration only the population within the city borders (without the suburbs) while the second comparison take into consideration all people living in the metropolitan area. (more…)

Being one of the world’s oldest continuous civilizations, China also has one of the world’s oldest written language systems. Chinese people are considered the source of many major inventions and currently they are the third largest economy.

The hottest Chinese destinations are Beijing, Shanghai, Guilin, Xian, Tibet and Guangzhou. Beijing is the country’s capital city and one of the most splendid royal historic sites. The ancestor of the modern cruise ships is Prinzessin Victoria Luise, designed by Albert Ballin, completed in 1900. The vessel was used to cross the Atlantic, the journey never taking less than four days. In time, the race for more passengers forced ocean liners to add many luxuries and to increase the comfort. Titanic was famous at the time of its completion for fine dining and well-appointed staterooms. After 1970s the interest for vacation cruises started to grow, and with it the cruise ship statures.
