The danger of solar flares

The solar flares represent explosions at the surface of the sun. The solar flares are produced almost every day and they usually affect all layers of the sun’s atmosphere. The large ones release huge amounts of energy and could even eject coronal mass into the space. The solar flares also produce different types of radiation that also burst into the space.

The UV and X-ray radiation produced by large solar flares can reach the Earth affecting the upper layer of the atmosphere called ionosphere. These two types of radiation can disrupt long-range radio communications and radars that have the same wavelengths. (more…)

Solar radiations, the danger from space

One of the most dangerous things that surround us continuously is represented by the solar radiations. The solar radiations are created by the sun’s energy that is created in its core. In the huge pressure form the core of the sun forces hydrogen atoms to fuse into helium by nuclear fusion. It’s estimated that the temperatures at the core are approximately 15 million degrees Kelvin which represent 15 million degrees Celsius or 27 million degrees Fahrenheit. (more…)

Clean energy advantages

The clean energy, also known as renewable, is the energy that comes from different natural resources like wind, sunlight, rain, tides and even geothermal heat. These natural resources are not consumed in the process of generating energy and the nature recreates them continuously. The fossil fuels currently used for generating energy pollute the environment and they can be found only in limited quantities. This is why the use of clean energy becomes a necessity rather than a temporary trend. (more…)
