Istanbul was the capital of three great empires Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman and is the only city in the world located on two continents, Europe and Asia. The best times to visit Turkey depend on your destination. April-May or September-October are the best months to visit Istanbul. For the coastal areas the high season starts from mid May and ends in September. If you want to go to Turkey during summer you should plan your vacation ahead as most hotels and accommodation options are already full booked.

The visitors are often surprised by the Turkish hospitality. Many Turks know English and understand other international languages such as French, or German and they are always willing to help. In Turkish culture the visitors are considered “Guests sent by God” and are treated as such.
