A prominent Russian businessman was murdered in Moscow

A prominent Russian businessman, Sabtai Kalmanovici, was killed Monday in Moscow with an automatic weapon, the Prosecutor’s investigation committee announced in a press release, according to AFP, and published by NewsIn. Kalmanovici was killed at around 17.00 local time, when unknown persons opened fire at his car on a street in Moscow.

After the incident, the car passenger died instantly and the driver was taken to a hospital severely wounded’, said the investigation committee.

Kalmanovici was born in Lithuania in 1949, and in 1971 he emigrated with his parents in Israel. He was a prosperous businessman, and he was well known in Russia for organizing the Russian tours for big international stars like Michael Jackson, Liza Minelli and Jose Careras, according to ITAR-TASS agency.
