The Black Hawk Safety Net web site is considered to be one of the largest hacker’s web sites in the world. The web site that the Chinese Police just shut down, offered lessons about cyber attacks and sold Trojan software. This kind of programs allows hackers to access the computer once the software is installed. The three individuals that managed the website offered lessons, charging $14 or $29.

In almost 5 years of activity, the site gathered more than 12,000 paid members and over 170,000 free members, collecting more than $1,000,000 as membership fees.

According to Chinese authorities, hackers caused over $1,000,000 losses to China. Besides China, other large companies encountered hacker attacks. In the last month Google was attacked by Chinese hackers and some of its services were penetrated. As a consequence, Google threatened with withdrawal out of China.

The hacker attacks increased in the last few months both in China and against international companies. There is no statistics with the total losses produced around the world by hackers, but is obviously that all countries should take measures and fight this major threat.
